The exact population of Afghanistan is unknown, however, it is estimated to be somewhere around 21-26 million. It is slightly smaller than Texas.They have cold winters and hot summers. Some current issues are limited fresh water resources, inadequate supplies of potable water, overgrazing and deforestation.The capital is Kabul. The majority of the population continues to suffer from insufficient food, clothing, housing, and medical care, problems exacerbated by military operations and political uncertainties.
